Account and operation · Chapter 27

Access and teams

In nexbrand, access is given per client: to people and to teams, to read, write or manage. Whoever creates a client manages it. A client somebody may not see answers them like one that does not exist.

Three rights

Writealso change, publish, upload, move to the trash, create public pages and reviews
Managealso invite, give rights and delete the client for good

Someone with a right of their own and one through a team has the higher of the two.

The Access window

On the client's page, Access opens the window “Access to Morgenrot Bakery”. It shows every member with their right, the teams with a right and how many people have access altogether. Those who manage the client may change it.

  • By name: type the name under Name of an account, choose the right, click Invite. The account finds the invitation in the account menu under New for you and accepts or declines it.
  • By link: under Invitation link, choose the right and Valid for one, seven or 30 days, then Create invitation link. The link works once and is shown only now. With a mail server, Send the link by mail sends it to an address.

Open invitations stand under Invited, not answered yet and can be withdrawn. If you are the only one who may manage the client, nexbrand warns you before you give that up.

Teams

The operator creates teams under Settings, Teams with New team: name, colour, members and a lead. A team gets access to clients; when a client gives a team a right, every member has it. Those who manage a client give it on the client's page with the button Teams.

Out of the box only the operator changes a team's members. With the switch Team leads change their teams, the lead also takes people in and out, and so gives them the team's rights at every client.

The overview

Under Settings, Access stands “Who sees which client”, with Manage access and Teams for each client. The operator sees and manages every client. If the operator changes rights on a client they are not part of, those involved get a message.

Whether members create clients themselves is the operator's choice with Members create clients. When it is off, only the operator creates clients and gives others access.

Pavo saysWhoever may not see a client does not even learn its name, not through a token either. So you can keep clients apart without anybody noticing they exist.
