With clients · Chapter 19

Review with the client

Instead of sending PDFs back and forth by mail, the client gets a link. There the client sees each direction on a sample page, comments and chooses one. The choice is published without anybody on your side having to click again.

What it takes

  • A draft. Published versions are not put to the client any more.
  • The right to write for the client.
  • The switch Allow public pages, which the operator turns on. It is off out of the box.

Putting a draft to the client

In the draft's bar, click Send to the client for review.

FieldFor
Name once chosenthe version's name once the client has chosen
Sender, as the client sees itsuch as the name of your studio
A few words to the clientsuch as “Here are two directions for your new look.”
Directionsa name per direction and Why this direction (for the client); other drafts of the client go along as alternatives, at most four directions
Link valid for7, 14, 30 or 90 days
Mail the link to (optional)an address, if nexbrand should send the link

Send for review creates the review, Send for review and mail also sends the link, in your language. Mailing needs a mail server and a public address; otherwise you copy the link in the tab Review. A draft is only ever in one open review.

What the client sees

The link opens a page without an account: sender, your message and, for each direction, a block with your examples large to page through, the sample page, the colour fields and your reason. Below, a field asks “What strikes you?”; a tick box ties the comment to the example shown. The client's name is optional, and the browser remembers it.

Review
The review page as the client sees it: sender and message of the agency, below them the first direction with its drafts to browse
The page the client gets.

When a direction fits, the client clicks Choose this direction and confirms with Yes, this is it. That becomes the published version at once: with the name from “Name once chosen”, valid from today, with the origin chosen by the client and a note on who chose.

On your side, in the Review tab

Each review stands with its state: waiting for the client, chosen or withdrawn. You see every comment and reply with Answer …; See as the client shows the client's page. Something new from the client shows as a number in the sidebar, in the overview and on the tab, along with a notice and See the review. It counts as read once anybody from your side opens the review. There is no mail about it.

Withdraw ends the review; whoever put it to the client and those who manage the client may do so. The link then only shows that it has ended.

Limits

Per page and sender, 30 comments an hour go through, and at most 500 per review. Only those who may write for the client see the link; with it, one could choose on the client's behalf.

Pavo saysReaders only see in the tab that there are reviews, not the link. Give it only to whoever really decides for the client.
